8x8, Inc. is a unified communications service provider and collaboration (UCC) cloud for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), mid-market businesses and distributed enterprises. The company offers a wide range of UCC cloud services for desktop and mobile devices, including extended business phone services, virtual dating, software for contact centers, and virtual offices, all through its wholly unified SaaS (software as a service) platform.
The 8x8 Phone System service provides small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with a cost-effective, feature-rich alternative to traditional phone systems.
8x8 Phone pricing is a little different than other VoIP providers. 8x8 works with customers to ensure they get what they want at a price they can be happy with. The company offers 99.997% uptime and maintains a sustainable business model.
The unlimited basic plan costs $12/mo per extension (with a 30-day trial) and you will get a direct phone number, mobile app, group intercom, caller ID, and click-to-call technology. 8x8 also offers an Unlimited Extension Plan, Metered Extension Plan, Global Extension Plan and Call Center plan.
For business users looking for a virtual phone service, here are a few benefits available:
8x8’s knowledge of the business community, combined with its technological expertise and emphasis on quality of service factors like security, reliability and scalability, ensures the transition of more and more companies from on-premise solutions to cloud-based solutions.
The main advantage of 8x8 is that, in my opinion, it is pretty simple to understand and use. Unfortunately, it can be aggravating that there are a lot of flaws in the software and that there haven't been any obvious advancements over time. Although it facilitates communication with customers, the service quality is uneven, frequently lagging and having reliability problems, which adversely affects our ability to conduct business.
Our experience with 8x8 was positive initially, and the features offered were commendable. However, as issues with delays and distorted sound emerged, our communication challenges continued, prompting the decision to switch providers.
The Average Wheelhouse score for the Phone Systems category is 8.2
