Pros & Cons

GoldMine Pros & Cons
Pros
  • Largely, GM performed what it required us to perform, we managed to maintain adequate profiles on all of our potential students plus our past communication with them, on the systems left hand side, you could also see a running list of the student profiles you were formerly viewing, thus, moving back to their page was simple when necessary.
Cons
  • Lack of incorporation features in the version we're using.

We moved to another software due to GMs restricted incorporation abilities despite the software largely performing majority of the job.

Largely, GM performed what it required us to perform, we managed to maintain adequate profiles on all of our potential students plus our past communication with them, on the systems left hand side, you could also see a running list of the student profiles you were formerly viewing, thus, moving back to their page was simple when necessary.

Not very intuitive, has an outdated interface, its integration abilities are very limited-it wouldn't allow us to interact with potential students straightway from the system nor would it allow us to plan their visits to campus-leading to a decline in the effectiveness of our office's work.

We're able to maintain a detailed accounting of our past client interactions and special pricing and relationship-based data. Further, it helps us to recollect the crucial information for tailored service.

It helps is keeping track of our client relationships and recording vital client details and history.

Lack of incorporation features in the version we're using.

We find that Maximizer is helping us stay organized, become proactive in our interactions with the customers and help build our image as an efficient and responsive organization.

There are so many good things. Where do I start! Well, it is easy to use. I suppose it is the intuitive structure that lets us learn it on the fly. A customer profile can contain everything from documents to images and videos which can be accessed as needed. You can select and modify fields according to your processing and reporting needs. The templates and forms are good tools to use for email and for other means of communication.

Interestingly enough, it requires you to type delete for everything you decide to delete. I understand it is a control against the risk of deleting desired data by mistake. However, a simple yes or no option could suffice there.
