Regrettably, Dr. Chrono's capabilities are rudimentary when it comes to practice management functions. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product, and I switched to another software over a year ago
I didn't find any specific aspect of this practice management software that stood out positively for me. I have experience with multiple practice management software options.
The searchability and generation of reports were major drawbacks. As a medical director, I faced difficulties with data searches and fulfilling required tasks. The financial interface for business purposes was also poor
Although this program has some great qualities, it also has a few bad ones. I particularly didn’t like how expensive it is, and that’s because they separated the modules by function instead of combining them all in one package. It is an excellent program, but I don’t think it’s a worthy investment in the long run.
Nextech gives me the ability to enter patient’s information quickly. Its scheduling system is also easy to use and navigate. I am very satisfied with this program!
I wish they can make the flow of information more seamless. The program will also be better if it has more customization options.
The overall experience with DrChrono's EMR is unintuitive, clunky, and unreliable. While the software has the potential to offer various capabilities, poor customer service, bugs, and a subpar user experience hinder its realization.
The e-prescribing module within DrChrono's EMR is considered the most user-friendly aspect. However, there is room for improvement, such as saving pending prescriptions for later signature.
Frequent downtime, slowdowns, and bugs are the major sources of frustration for DrChrono end users. For instance, there have been instances where the system ran extremely slow for hours, preventing the sending of controlled substance prescriptions and causing difficulties in saving notes. Appointments have also failed to save correctly, and note loading times have been unacceptably long. Other glitches include appointment reminders being turned off, buttons disappearing, and new diagnoses being added automatically to patient charts without justification. Additionally, deleting an appointment from the calendar can result in the corresponding note disappearing, which highlights the fragility of the system.
Scheduling option is great with Nextech. You can enjoy fun icons. Reporting option is marvelous. Every single appointment can be accessed through it without any difficulty. Appointments and insurances of the patients can be checked through it.
It lacks recall reminder process. Billing is also not much visible. There should be separate notification for it.
