Birst offers an excellent, cloud based business intelligence. Birst offers an automated storeroom and first-rate visual analytics, so users can draw meaning from data of all types and sizes. Moreover, it is cheap and nimble solution compared to most legacy BI systems.
Integrated with the Cloud, Birst provides companies the capacity to solve real problems quickly; thousands of businesses depend on Birst for their analytic requirements. Birst has big data affinity, works with existing systems such as SAP, Microsoft Analysis Services, Saleforce and mobile devices, and offers data analytic options accessible to individual business users working in HR, Marketing, sales, supply chain, finance and many others.
Birst BI software is available in two different versions: the Enterprise edition and the Discovery edition. This way companies can select an option closely fitted to their needs. The Discovery Edition is the more basic offering geared towards users who want quick and straight-forward information. It consists of dashboards, mobile analytics and ad hoc analytics. The Enterprise edition consists of all the features available with the Discovery Edition, plus automated data mashups, data warehousing and dimensional database management.
Birst takes your raw data, puts it through their ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) process, and then automatically generates a data warehouse in preparation for analysis. This data is accessible via visual analytic and reporting tools so users can obtain answers to difficult questions. Birst software is engineered to cater to all business users, from marketers to executive managers. Birst’s range of features includes data warehouse automation, big data services and managed data mashups.
Birst introduced an upgrade called Birst 5X in 2015, which includes features such as Visual Discovery, dashboards, upgraded mobile functionality- the ability to control analytics offline- and a fresh interface, which enables users to manage the data source of their selection.
Overall, we had a good experience using the Infor OS, and we appreciated its helpful features. However, we were let down by the lack of customer support, which is an essential aspect of any software platform.
The Average Wheelhouse score for the Business Intelligence (BI) category is 8.3
