This is a very wonderful system. We use it mainly for data modelling, generating reports, etc. and their client support is exceptional. However, despite the many stated cons, they’re mostly experienced by developers.
If the requirements are simple, it is easy to drag and drop reports, support and community are great, has an adaptable and robust BQL, using the API is simple, writing scripts to automate common roles is possible, and methods of processing data are both simple and complicated. Also, a section of the Admin tool has greatly eased troubleshooting reports thanks to the ability to view the BQL and final SQL query making it extremely simple to locate issues.
It’s not possible to copy and paste items. Copying dashboards and implanted reports isn’t possible. A few admin roles can’t work together with one another. For the admin monitors/screens, they work with FLASH. You can’t manage to have wonderful looking reports if you have needs for ADA approved readability as the fonts are small/medium/large and scrollbars, etc. will be on everything…etc.
With Longview, we are able to efficiently consolidate information from across the company for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting purposes. The benefits we have realized include streamlined financial processes and improved accuracy in reporting."
Longview offers a reliable platform for consolidating financial information and provides the necessary tools for financial reporting and consolidation tasks.
One issue I have encountered with Longview is its tendency to freeze or encounter errors when working with different fields.
A new product that needs to enhance some items
Inexpensive, plenty of features to enhance the time to make the tasks operational, and incredible performance in assembling data, security and probability of learning.
Not so intuitive, no option to paste some data, and as times features don't function as initially advertised.
LongView is, without question, the only tax provisioning application you will ever need. It processes our data efficiently while providing advanced reporting capabilities. it is extremely helpful in compiling documents necessary for legal requirements whether it be specific to a state or for international purposes. I am hoping to see updates that allow for more tasks and reports to be automated.
Comprehensive reporting, high-speed calculations, adheres to laws dpeending on the state, global legal compliance
Lack of automation for calculating net operating loss and income tax credit
