Samsara helps us streamline and expedite the process of tracking our shipments. With approximately 500 loads to manage each month, having the Samsara link available significantly accelerates our tracking capabilities. This eliminates the need to constantly contact dispatch, saving us time and allowing us to efficiently monitor our shipments.
One of the things I appreciate most about Samsara is the convenience it provides for tracking the status of my freight loads. The Samsara link allows me to monitor the live movement of the truck or person responsible for the shipment. This eliminates the need to constantly contact the dispatcher or driver for updates, as I can easily see the progress in real time.
However, I would like to have more visibility into the historical tracking data of the truck's previous locations or origins. Sometimes, when relying solely on the link without direct communication, it can be misleading if the truck appears to deviate from the expected route. Having access to the connections and history would greatly enhance the tracking experience.
Despite having used it for a shirt period, I’ve managed to greatly save labor costs and time.
The monthly fees are worth thanks to the ability to monitor the location and accountability of the driver. Also, I’m always able to inform a client the position of their delivery.
Using the system is quite hard, it is not very detailed, the inability to tell the idle time of a truck or the time taken at a certain place when looking at the map.
Samsara addresses the crucial aspects of driver and public safety, as well as productivity. With Samsara, we have real-time visibility into our employees' activities and locations, ensuring their safety and enhancing overall productivity.
The best thing about Samsara is its ability to keep us informed about the location of our trucks and the activities of our employees/drivers. It provides safety alerts during their journeys and also stores video and photos that can be used for legal purposes if needed.
One drawback of Samsara is that the displayed location is not always up to date, which can cause issues when dispatching calls to drivers.
