Good Data is a quality database for people
The data is incredibly helpful for people to learn and use and conducting research, finding the data is very easy and quick.
At times data type is restricted and insufficient data is acquired by this software, some data are not very proficient for research.
This is a very wonderful system. We use it mainly for data modelling, generating reports, etc. and their client support is exceptional. However, despite the many stated cons, they’re mostly experienced by developers.
If the requirements are simple, it is easy to drag and drop reports, support and community are great, has an adaptable and robust BQL, using the API is simple, writing scripts to automate common roles is possible, and methods of processing data are both simple and complicated. Also, a section of the Admin tool has greatly eased troubleshooting reports thanks to the ability to view the BQL and final SQL query making it extremely simple to locate issues.
It’s not possible to copy and paste items. Copying dashboards and implanted reports isn’t possible. A few admin roles can’t work together with one another. For the admin monitors/screens, they work with FLASH. You can’t manage to have wonderful looking reports if you have needs for ADA approved readability as the fonts are small/medium/large and scrollbars, etc. will be on everything…etc.
I recommend GoodData as an excellent solution for data visualizations, particularly for those steering away from in-house development. While customization may have its limits, the platform fulfills our needs efficiently.
Empowerment of product managers to effect changes swiftly. The ability to make alterations without a constant reliance on engineers streamlines our workflow, freeing up resources for strategic roadmap planning. The standardized design ensures uniformity, mitigating the risks associated with disparate in-house UIs.
Although manageable, there exists a learning curve for GoodData. Challenges arise in combining datasets or achieving specific design customizations, aligning with the platform's designated use case.
A new product that needs to enhance some items
Inexpensive, plenty of features to enhance the time to make the tasks operational, and incredible performance in assembling data, security and probability of learning.
Not so intuitive, no option to paste some data, and as times features don't function as initially advertised.
