In our comparison of FreshBooks vs. ZipBooks, ZipBooks is the best option with a higher overall Wheelhouse Score. Wheelhouse Score uses a combination of feature and pricing comparison data, average user ratings, and editorial reviews to score software vendors on a scale of 1-10.
For me as an independent video producer, FreshBooks has changed the game. Although switching from desktop software to their web-based platform was a success in and of itself, its simplicity and attention to small businesses, like mine, is what makes it truly magical.
Feature rich, easy invoicing, customization
Interface is not good enough
Virtual assistants must use time tracking software, and I adore how simple it is to keep track of time, manage projects, and generate invoices. It is also cost-effective, even for teams. Although the setup procedure can be cumbersome and the search feature might be enhanced, it's an excellent tool for virtual assistants to use for time tracking.
Create invoices, budget friendly and keeps everything together in one location
Clunky setup process and search feature doesn't always work well
FreshBooks was the epitome of ease and speed for invoicing! Invoicing was simple to create and send, and it was made much easier by service integrations. We had to switch platforms regrettably since they removed the ticket module, which allowed us to easily turn tickets into invoices—a process we needed.
User friendly, wide range of third party integration, simplified processes
Discontinued the ticketing modules
Despite having a user-friendly interface and first-rate customer assistance, ZipBooks ultimately seems like a simplified version of its rivals, especially QuickBooks. One of the biggest downsides is that data export is not available, not even for free users. Even though some people might find the simplified design appealing, I ultimately advise searching elsewhere for a more complete accounting solution.
Well designed UI, easy to use, great customer support
No data export option on the trial version
