The product works as intended, however Avalara's customer support is terrible. It is an enormous undertaking to get responses to emails or meetings attended, and there is hardly any follow-up. There was no response to my requests for a replacement, and my account manager was incompetent. It took me months to cancel a service, which meant I was paying for something I wasn't using! This, even though they admit they should give me credit. I tried to solve these problems for hours on end. Move on and spare yourself the annoyance.
QB is fairly okay. I would be a contented customer if they’d make their upgrades a simpler transition and invent an inventory conversion plan that is simple.
It is user friendly, updating your system after getting the upgrades is possible, and it is possible to delete and redo a wrongly done transaction.
Moving to QB for inventory from POS has no simple method, we always have a problem with our bank downloads every time there is an upgrade.
The pain of complying with sales tax is eliminated by Avalara. Avalara connects effortlessly and even makes registration recommendations based on sales, saving us the hours of laborious manual rate updates. My workflow has greatly improved. But a small complication was added with the most recent website upgrade. Convenient keyboard shortcuts have been replaced by awkward mouse-and-keyboard combos, making it take longer to enter customer details and exemption certificates. Moreover, client information reports are not Excel-friendly, which requires manual copying and may result in updates being missed.
Accurate, time Saving, automates sales tax compliance
Website update less efficient, incompatible report file format
It is very easy, it is very cheap, and it can be used by both a novice and advanced user thanks to its ease of use.
Poor client service-delayed response.
