Altair's packages address challenges in various interdisciplinary domains, including structural, thermal, electrical, electromagnetic, acoustics, and vibrations. The accurate prediction of results provided by Altair's software contributes to reducing prototype costs, which is a significant benefit in the development process.
I find the HyperMesh tool from Altair to be highly effective in meshing plastic and BIW components, especially when compared to other software options. Additionally, Altair's Optistruct solver stands out as the best choice for performing static analysis.
While Altair's software offers excellent capabilities, there is still room for improvement, particularly in the area of contact and material modeling. In some static cases, I encountered issues where the contacts were not functioning effectively.
This is a very wonderful system. We use it mainly for data modelling, generating reports, etc. and their client support is exceptional. However, despite the many stated cons, they’re mostly experienced by developers.
If the requirements are simple, it is easy to drag and drop reports, support and community are great, has an adaptable and robust BQL, using the API is simple, writing scripts to automate common roles is possible, and methods of processing data are both simple and complicated. Also, a section of the Admin tool has greatly eased troubleshooting reports thanks to the ability to view the BQL and final SQL query making it extremely simple to locate issues.
It’s not possible to copy and paste items. Copying dashboards and implanted reports isn’t possible. A few admin roles can’t work together with one another. For the admin monitors/screens, they work with FLASH. You can’t manage to have wonderful looking reports if you have needs for ADA approved readability as the fonts are small/medium/large and scrollbars, etc. will be on everything…etc.

A new product that needs to enhance some items
Inexpensive, plenty of features to enhance the time to make the tasks operational, and incredible performance in assembling data, security and probability of learning.
Not so intuitive, no option to paste some data, and as times features don't function as initially advertised.
